Q: Whats all is in the kitchen?
A: All of our cabins have a full refrigerator, oven, stove, microwave, dishwasher (with the exception of 2 or 3 cabins), coffee pot, coffee filters, toaster, pots and pans, cork screw, can opener, blender, ice trays, cooking utensils, dishes, silverware and glassware. Anything else youll need to bring with you.
Q: Can we check in early?
A: Sorry check in time is 3:00pm-7:00pm. We do not allow early check ins for maintenance and housekeeping reasons.
Q: When is check out?
A: Check out is 11:00 AM. Late check outs are only approved by the office the day of check out, and only up to one extra hour.
Q: Do we have to pay the damage wavier fee?
A: All reservations are charged a $25.00 non refundable damage waiver. We are not able to waive this fee for any reason.
Q: Do we have to pay the processing fee?
A: All reservations are charged a $25.00 non refundable processing fee. We are not able to waive this fee for any reason.
Q: What if we are not able to check in by 7:00 PM?
A: You'll need to set up express check in. You must call the office at least 24 hours before your check in so that we can fax you the forms required to complete this request. Once forms are completed and payment is made, we will fax the map to the cabin and key code to you.
Q: Can we bring pets?
A: We allow a total of 3 pets per cabin. There is a one time charge of $30.00 for the first pet and $10.00 for each additional. Your pets must be crated when they are left alone in the cabin. There is no weight limits for your pets. All pets must be on a leash when outside the cabin. Pets MUST NOT be left alone in the cabin unless crated. You must pick up any pet waste near the cabin. You must also clean up after your pet inside the cabin. If your pet is going to be on the furniture you MUST bring your own blanket or sheet for your pet to sit on. This is to protect the furniture and to avoid additional cleaning charges. Pets are NOT allowed in the Hot Tub.
Q: Are the cabins smoking or non-smoking?
A: Unfortunately we are not able to enforce guests not to smoke in the cabins. We do request our guests smoke on the porch. After each guest checks out we air the cabins out. We do our best to eliminate the smoke odors.
Q: Can you charge my credit card to hold the cabin, but when we check in credit my card back so we can pay cash?
A: Unfortunately we are not able to do this. We are charged by the credit card company every time we run a transaction. You can pay your balance with cash.
Q: What is there to do in Helen?
A: The best place to get local information and activity information is from the Helen Welcome Center. Their number is 800-858-8027 or visit their website www.helenga.org.
Q: What is the weather like?
A: If you visit www.weather.com and put in our zip code 30571 you will be able to get the 10 day forecast. Weather changes very fast around here, so its hard to give you a real answer.
Q: Is there a shower in the cabin?
A: All cabins have showers. Even the cabins with Jacuzzi bath tubs.
Q: Do the cabins have internet access?
A: Several of our cabins have wireless internet. Look at the cabins amenities to see if your cabin has internet.
Q: Where are your cabins located?
A: All of our cabins are with in 4 to 7 miles from our office. All cabins are right off of HWY 356, past Unicoi State Park. 10 minutes or less from down town Helen.
Q: What do I need to bring?
A: All of our cabins provide linens, paper products and fully equipped kitchens, so you will only need to bring your personal belongings, toiletries, hair dryer and food.
Q: How can I pay?
A: We accept VISA, MasterCard, Discover, Travelers Check and Cash. Sorry we do not accept American Express, personal checks or money orders.
Q: How old do I need to be to rent a cabin?
A: All guests must be 21 or older unless accompanied by a parent. Everyone staying in the cabin must have ID if you are 21 or older.
Q: The credit card I am using for my reservation is not mine, what do I need to do?
A: We need to have a credit card authorization completed by the person whose name is on the credit card before you will be allowed to check in. Call our office to request the form to be faxed.
Q: Part of our group will be there to check in before I will, and my name is on the reservation, what do I need to do?
A: You will need to complete a credit card authorization for the deposit. Call our office to request the form to be faxed. And let us know who will be checking in for you. They can pay the balance at check in with cash or their credit card.
Q: Will our hot tub be cleaned before we check in?
A: It is our policy to drain, sanitize & refill the hot tub between guests. We chemically treat the water at this time. Please be aware water may not be hot at check in, because the hot tub may have just been cleaned and the water needs time to heat up.
Q: How do I make a reservation?
A: The best way to book your cabin is online. You will save some money by doing so. You may also book over the phone; however there is a reservation fee of $10.00 when booking this way. Our website is a secure site; we process all credit card transactions in house.

Q: Can we use Map Quest or our GPS unit?
A: Please don't! They dont seem to know how to find us! If you want to use Map Quest or other GPS software for basic highway directions for getting to Helen, GA, you should have no problem. However, please use the directions we provide online for exact location to our office.
Q: Where is the nearest Grocery Store?
A: Bettys Country Store is located on Main Street in Helen. Ingles is the next major Grocery store and that is in Cleveland on the corner of HWY 75 and US129. (about 9 miles from Helen.)
Q: Is firewood provided?
A: We sell firewood for $5.00 a bundle and fire starters for $2.00 each. Available Oct. 1st through April 15th. Or you can bring your own wood.
Q: What forms of payment can be used to book online?
A: Visa, MasterCard, Discover and any debit card with a Visa or MasterCard Symbol on it. Our website is a secure site; we process all credit card transactions in house.
Q: Can we bring our small child with us in a one bedroom?
A: Unfortunately we only allow couples to stay in our one bedroom cabins. Sorry no children allowed. However we do have a one bedroom cabin that will allow upto two extra guests. (Wildwood)
Q: Do we have to pay a damage waiver?
A: As of December 6, 2007 all guest are required to pay the damage waiver which is a non refundable $25 fee.
Q: Do all the cabins have washers and dryers?
A: Not all cabins have a washer and dryer, if the cabin has a washer and dryer it will be listed under the cabin amenities.
Q: Where is the closest Wal-Mart?
A: The closest Wal-Mart is in Cornelia about 28 Miles from Helen.
Q: Does the cabin have cable or Satellite?
A: You can see what service is provided under the cabin amenities.
Q: Will my cell phone work at the cabin?
A: NEXTEL, VERIZON and CINGULAR seem to get the best service up here. We cannot guarantee your phone will work at all the cabins however most phones do work in the town of Helen. All of our cabins have phones with local service only.
