A: Personal items: hair dryer, food and any other personal item you might require Q: What items are in the kitchen?A: All of our cabins have a full refrigerator, oven, stove, microwave, dishwasher (with the exception of 2 or 3 cabins), coffee pot, coffee filters, toaster, pots and pans, cork screw, can opener, blender, ice trays, cooking utensils, dishes, silverware and glassware. If you need any other cooking items you will need to bring them with you. Q: Can we check in early?A: Check in time is 3:00 PM, however you can check with our office staff to see if the cabin will be ready early. If it is available we allow early check in at 1:00 PM for a charge of $25.00 Q: When is check out?A: Check out is 11:00 AM, however you can check with our office staff to see if the cabin is available for late check out. If it is available we allow late check out at 1:00 PM for a charge of $25.00. Q: What is the cancellation Policy?All cancellations made 7 or more days before arrival will be charged a $35.00 cancellation fee. The balance of the deposit which includes the $39 insurance fee will be refunded. Cancellations made within the 6 days before the arrival date will lose the entire initial deposit. Only the $39 insurance fee will be refunded. If you have paid your balance in full, the $39 insurance fee and cleaning fee will be refunded. There will be no exceptions for any reason. You must call our office during regular business hours and obtain a Cancellation Number for your cancellation to be valid. All changes or reschedules to cabin reservations will be charged a $25.00 Change Fee. No refunds for early departures (fewer nights then reserved). No exceptions. Should you need to cancel a last minute reservation (made 5 days or less before arrival) you will be refunded the $39 insurance fee only. No other monies will be refunded. There will be no refunds or compensation for: Acts of God, Mother Nature, acts of war or government agencies, road maintenance, gas shortages, power outages, TV service outages, internet outages or water outages.
Q: Do we have to pay the damage insurance fee?A: All reservations are charged a $39.00 non refundable damage insurance. We are not able to waive this fee for any reason. Q: What if we are not able to check in by 5:00 PM? A: All reservations are set up as express check in. Once express check in forms are completed and payment is made, we will fax or email you the map to the cabin and key code. If we do not get the forms completed and payment made, you will not be able to check into your cabin and your deposit will not be refunded. Q: Can we bring pets?A: We allow a total of 3 pets per cabin. There is a one time charge of $20.00 per pet up to 3.Your pets must be crated when they are left alone in the cabin. There is no weight limit for your pets. All pets must be on a leash when outside the cabin. Pets MUST NOT be left alone in the cabin unless crated. You must pick up any pet waste near the cabin. You must also clean up after your pet inside the cabin. If your pet is going to be on the furniture you MUST bring your own blanket or sheet for your pet to sit on. This is to protect the furniture and to avoid additional cleaning charges. Pets are NOT allowed in the Hot Tub. Q: Are the cabins smoking or non-smoking?A: Unfortunately we are not able to keep guests from smoking in the cabins. We do request our guests smoke on the porch. After each guest checks out we air the cabins out. We do our best to eliminate the smoke odors. Q: What is there to do in Helen?A: The best place to get local information and activity information is from the Helen Welcome Center. Their number is 800-858-8027 or visit their website www.helenga.org. You can also click on our area attractions button on the home page. Q: What is the weather like?A: If you visit www.weather.com and put in our zip code 30571 you will be able to get the 10 day forecast. Weather changes very fast around here, so it is hard to give you a definite answer. Q: Is there a shower in the cabin?A: All cabins have showers including the cabins with Jacuzzi bath tubs. Q: Do the cabins have internet access?A: Most of our cabins have wireless internet. Check the cabins' amenities or check with the Reservationist to verify that your cabin has internet. Q: Where are your cabins located?A: All of our cabins are within 4 to 7 miles of our office. All cabins are right off HWY 356, past Unicoi State Park, 10 minutes or less from downtown Helen. Q: How can I pay?A: We accept VISA, MasterCard, Discover, Travelers Check and Cash. Sorry we do not accept American Express or personal checks. Q: How old do I need to be to rent a cabin?A: All guests must be 21 or older unless accompanied by a parent. Everyone staying in the cabin must have ID showing they are 21 or older unless accompanied by a parent.. Q: Will our hot tub be cleaned before we check in?A: It is our policy to drain, sanitize & refill the hot tub between guests. We chemically treat the water at this time. Please be aware water may not be hot at check in, because the hot tub may have just been cleaned and the water needs time to heat up. Q: How do I make a reservation?A: The best way to book your cabin is online. Our website is a secure site; we process all credit card transactions in house. Q: What is your physical address?A: 2990 Hwy 356, Sautee, GA 30571 Q: Can we use Map Quest or our GPS unit?A: If your GPS is 2008 or newer you may use it to get to our office, however you will need to use the map we supply to get to the cabin. Map Quest doesn't give the best directions and tends to get people lost. We have directions on our website to help you get to our office. Q: Where is the nearest Grocery Store?A: Betty's Country Store is located on Main Street in Helen. Ingles is the next major Grocery store and is located in Cleveland on the corner of HWY 75 and US129. (about 9 miles from Helen.) Q: Is firewood provided?A: We sell firewood for $5.00 a bundle and fire starters for $2.00 each, available Oct. 1st through April 15th for inside fireplaces. Firewood will be available to you if your cabin has an outdoor fireplace or firepit. You can bring your own wood if you desire. You may purchase firewood delivered to your cabin at no charge when you make your reservation. The firewood will be delivered prior to your arrival so that it is at your cabin when you arrive. Call the office to add it to your reservation if you have not done so.. Q: What forms of payment can be used to book online?A: Visa, MasterCard, Discover and any debit card with a Visa or MasterCard Symbol on it. Our website is a secure site; we process all credit card transactions in house. Q: Can we bring our small child with us in a one bedroom?A: Unfortunately we only allow couples to stay in our one bedroom cabins. Sorry no children allowed. However we do have a one bedroom cabin that will allow up to two extra guests. (The Hideaway) Q: Do all the cabins have washers and dryers?A: Not all cabins have a washer and dryer. If the cabin has a washer and dryer it will be listed under the cabin amenities. Q: Where is the closest Wal-Mart? A: There is a Walmart in Cleveland, GA. About 20 minutes from Helen. Q: Does the cabin have cable or Satellite?A: Cabins have both, depending on location. You can see which service is provided under the cabin amenities. Q: Will my cell phone work at the cabin?A:AT&T, VERIZON and T-MOBILE seem to get the best service at most cabins. We cannot guarantee your phone will work at all the cabins however most phones do work in the town of Helen. All of our cabins have phones with local service only. |
